Zelaya

Last Wednesday ousted Honduran President Jose Manuel Zelaya spoke at GW. I had the opportunity to cover the event after following the coup all summer. The event was half press conference, half political talk. To be brief, the guy should be let back into his country. At the very least to stand trial for the supposed constitutional violations of his referendum.

After haggling with his press people for an hour I was allowed to take his portrait. I shot about 15 frames with a strobe and this seems to be the best out of the bunch. Interestingly after making the portrait he schooled me on photography. Recanting the good old days when photographers worked on pure calculation and technique, non of the screens or automatic cameras....

Love in the First Person

Amazing multimedia project by 20-year-old PJ Matt Eich and his wife Melissa. About being young, getting married and having a baby; whilst being college photog of the year and going on assignment all over the US and the world.

A lot to learn from his style which is really emotional and focused on nothing other than his subjects.

Check out the other projects on MediaStorm really good stuff! Click the image for the jump.

Enjoy.

Welcome

Hello All.

This blog mainly is intended to share links to photojournalism that I've found interesting and to share some of my own experiences as a journalism student and freelancer. Feel free to comment!
